Question 1

How can a fixed-price website be genuinely good?

Accepted Answer

We use a streamlined production system for the repetitive work, then a Launch North specialist oversees the design, copy, structure and search setup. You pay for the outcome instead of the traditional agency overheads.

Question 2

Do you use prebuilt themes or stock layouts?

Accepted Answer

No. We do not resell a theme or drop your business into a fixed layout. Every website is designed around your brand, services, customers and goals, and the design direction is chosen to suit your industry. Our production system is what makes custom work affordable and fast, and a Launch North specialist reviews every build before you see it.

Question 3

How many pages do I get?

Accepted Answer

Each package includes a standard page allowance, shown on the packages page, and projects needing more pages or bespoke scope are quoted as a Custom Project. Monthly blog posts never count towards your page allowance. Standard pages cover a full business website with home, about, contact, individual service pages, service areas, FAQs and a gallery. Existing website content migration is included, and unusually large or complex migrations form part of a custom quote.

Question 4

How long does it take?

Accepted Answer

You'll see the first draft of your website within 3 business days of us receiving your content. Most business websites go live within 1 to 2 weeks, depending on how quickly feedback comes back. Online stores usually take 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the number of products. We'll give you a clear timeline before we start.

Question 5

Can I edit the website myself?

Accepted Answer

Website changes are managed by Launch North, so you are not given page editing access and nothing can be broken by accident. Send us what you need changed and we look after it. Scale also includes a private Business Dashboard for your leads, enquiries, customer records and reporting.

Question 6

Do you guarantee rankings?

Accepted Answer

No, and nobody credibly can. We build strong SEO foundations and follow current best practice so your website has the best possible chance to perform.

Question 7

Who owns the website?

Accepted Answer

You do. Your domain, your content and your website belong to you. Websites built through this service are hosted with Launch North on our required Hosting and Care plan, so we look after the hosting, updates and technical side while the site is live with us.

Question 8

What about hosting and ongoing support?

Accepted Answer

Launch North Hosting and Care is required while your website is operated through this service. It covers managed hosting, SSL, security monitoring, backups and recovery, technical maintenance and ordinary operational support. The build is a one-off cost and the monthly Hosting and Care rate is set by your package, as shown on the packages page. Custom projects are quoted with the project. All prices include GST. It is not an unlimited change service. New pages, substantial content work, redesigns, integrations, SEO campaigns and other development are separately scoped unless included in writing.

Question 9

Do I have to manage plugins, updates or security?

Accepted Answer

No. There is nothing technical for you to maintain. No plugin updates, no theme updates, no plugin conflicts and no security patching. Launch North looks after the hosting, SSL, monitoring, backups and technical upkeep as part of Hosting and Care. You run your business and we look after the website.

Question 10

Is this like having a WordPress site?

Accepted Answer

It is simpler for you to live with. A traditional WordPress site usually relies on a theme and a stack of plugins that all need updating, and those updates can conflict with each other. Your Launch North website has far fewer moving parts for you to manage, and the parts that do need attention are handled by us.

Question 11

What does the monthly Hosting and Care fee cover?

Accepted Answer

Secure managed hosting and SSL, security monitoring, backups and recovery, technical and platform maintenance, and ordinary operational support required to keep the website operating. Website changes are managed by Launch North, and your package's monthly blog posts are written and published for you. It does not include unlimited design, content or development work, and unused support does not accrue or convert to credit.

Question 12

Can I move the website somewhere else or cancel Hosting and Care?

Accepted Answer

Your domain and content are always yours and we will never hold them. Because these websites are built and managed on our platform, Hosting and Care is part of running the site through this service, so it cannot be removed while the website stays with us. If you ever decide to move on, talk to us and we will help you take your domain and content with you.

Question 13

Are there any other ongoing fees?

Accepted Answer

Only the ones you choose. Hosting and Care is the required monthly cost. Anything else, such as Website Growth, Google Ads or extra development, is optional and quoted clearly before it starts. Your domain renewal is paid to your domain provider as usual.

Question 14

What is the Website Chatbot?

Accepted Answer

It is a friendly chat window on your website that answers the questions your customers ask most, helps them find the right service or information, and takes their details as an enquiry when they are ready to talk to you. It works alongside your normal contact forms rather than replacing them.

Question 15

Is the Website Chatbot included in my package?

Accepted Answer

No, it is an optional add-on and it is not included in any website package. You can add it to any package for a monthly fee, shown in the add-ons section of the packages page, on top of your Hosting and Care fee. All prices include GST.

Question 16

Do I have to choose the chatbot straight away?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. Choosing it does not change which website package suits you, and it will not push you into a bigger package. You can add it during your brief or ask us to add it later.
