A web designer quotes you one figure. A mate says they got theirs for a tenth of that.
Both can be telling the truth. They're just not pricing the same thing.
This guide shows what actually changes the cost of a cleaning business website, what you'll pay after launch, and which features earn their keep. We publish our own prices, so you can compare without booking a sales call.
The short answer
Three things move the price more than anything else:
Pages
Services and suburbs
Regular cleans, bond cleans, commercial and add ons each need their own page, plus the suburbs you want work in.
Pricing
How customers get a price
A short quote form is simplest. Online booking and instant price calculators take more work to build.
Content
Who writes and shoots it
If you supply your service details and real photos, the build is faster and cheaper than writing from scratch.
Here's what our fixed packages cost today, and the kind of cleaning business each one suits:

What a cleaning website has to do
Cleaning enquiries are nearly always made on a phone. They're nearly always compared against two or three other businesses.

The customer wants three answers, fast:
- Do you cover my suburb?
- Can I trust you in my home?
- Roughly what will it cost?
“The cleaner who answers those three questions first usually gets the quote request.”
What changes the price
1. How many services you split out
Regular home cleans, end of lease, office cleaning, carpets, windows and ovens are different customers with different urgency.
Each deserves its own page, inclusions and quote path. More services means more pages, but also more searches you can show up for.
2. How many suburbs you want to rank in
Most cleaning searches include a suburb: "bond cleaning Chermside", "house cleaner Springfield".

Suburb pages help, but only when they're genuinely useful. A handful of well written pages for the areas you want beats hundreds of copy and paste pages Google ignores.
3. How customers get a price
This is the biggest cost decision for cleaners.
| Option | Best for | Build effort |
|---|---|---|
| Short quote form | Regular and commercial cleaning, where every job needs a proper quote | Lowest |
| Published starting prices | Filtering out tyre kickers and setting expectations before you quote | Low |
| Online booking | Fixed price jobs like end of lease or carpet cleans | Medium |
| Instant price calculator | High volume, fixed price services with clear pricing rules | Highest |
4. Who writes the content and takes the photos
Supply your service details, inclusions and real photos of your team, and the build moves faster. Real photos beat stock images every time. Customers want to see who's coming into their home.
5. Extras and integrations
Connecting to booking or job software, recurring bookings, multiple locations or a client login all add cost. Before paying for one, ask what it will save you or win you.
What you can safely skip
Self-audit
Leave these out for now
- 1Fancy animations and video backgrounds. They slow the site on a phone, and slow sites lose quotes.
- 2A blog on day one. Your service and suburb pages matter far more.
- 3Hundreds of suburb pages. Start with the areas you actually want work in.
- 4Any feature you can't name a use for.
Don't skip what makes you credible: real photos, reviews, a clear inclusions list and proof you're insured and police checked.
The ongoing costs to budget for
The build is only part of the cost. Plan for:
- Hosting and care: hosting, security updates, backups and small changes.
- Your domain name, renewed each year.
- Email, if you want addresses on your own domain.
- Marketing, if you want it: SEO for suburb searches over time, or Google Ads for enquiries now.
Compare the total over two or three years, not just the upfront figure. Our guide on how much a website costs in Brisbane goes deeper on the ongoing side.
DIY builder, freelancer or agency?
DIY
Cheapest upfront
Fine for a brand new business with time to learn it. Most templates aren't set up for a fast quote path or proper suburb pages.
Freelancer
Can be good value
Check what's included after launch, who owns the site, and whether they understand search and lead tracking, not just design.
Agency
More upfront, more covered
Should bring a quote path built to convert, pages built for search, and someone to call when something breaks.
Five questions to ask any web designer
Manual checklist
Ask every option the same five questions
So you compare like with like.
- What exactly is included, and what costs extra?
- Who owns the website and the domain if we part ways?
- What does it cost each month after launch, and what does that cover?
- How will I know which enquiries came from the website?
- How long until I see a first draft?
Our answers: inclusions and prices are on the packages page, lead tracking is included in every package, and you'll see a first draft within 3 business days of us receiving your content.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a website cost for a cleaning business?
It depends mostly on how many services and suburbs you need pages for, whether you want online bookings or an instant price, and who writes the content. Launch North publishes fixed prices on our packages page, and our instant quote gives you a total for your business in a few minutes.
Do cleaners need online booking on their website?
Not always. For regular and commercial cleaning, a short quote form is usually enough because every job needs a price first. Online booking makes more sense for fixed price services like end of lease cleans or carpet cleaning, where the customer can choose a time straight away.
Should I put my cleaning prices on my website?
Publishing starting prices or a clear price guide usually helps. It filters out people looking for the cheapest possible clean and makes the customers who do enquire more likely to book. You can still quote each job properly.
What are the ongoing costs of a cleaning business website?
Plan for hosting, security updates, backups and small content changes, plus your domain name each year. If you want more enquiries from Google, SEO or Google Ads are separate monthly costs on top.
Is a cheap DIY website good enough for a cleaning business?
It can be when you're just starting out. The trade off is your time, slower quote paths on mobile and weaker search visibility. Once you're competing for bond cleans and regular clients across several suburbs, a professionally built site that wins more of those quotes is usually the better investment.
